Sale! Sale! Sale!

So I was at Eaton Centre running some errands on Sunday and decided to make my way into the HMV to see what was cooking...it was interesting especially since I have not ventured into a mall-based record store in a while, but I wanted to see what new hip groups all the kids are listening to.

Apparently it's this Fallout Boy group, now I've never actually listened to them before so they may be really good, but when your lead singer appears in GAP ads it really doesn't make me want to listen to you too much. I don't know it's just not very rock and roll.

Anyways, what caught my eyes was their major sale! Two CD's for $30.00! Wow that's like $15.00 for a CD! And of course only certain Cd's we part of that gigantic sale...is it just me or does the whole CD industry not make any sense? Is there no record or cultural memory of this somewhere? CD's cost $15.00 when they first came out! Before they reached critical mass...and now that everyone and their grandfather has one they cost...more? Where is the sense in that?

Either way I didn't end up buying anything, although that Grammy Nominees 2007 was pretty tempting...but I was turned off when it didn't have any Josh Groban on it.

note: I've never actually heard any Josh Groban either so maybe he's pretty good I have no idea. I know it's sad to diss something I know nothing about, so if you love Josh Groban, or Fallout Boy, or the Grammy's you can really let me have it. I didn't even look at the Grammy CD, I just laughed when I saw that it was number 1 on the charts.
